Nāya Mental Health has a large roster of therapists across the country who specialize in diverse fields and offer a range of services. These therapists do not work for Nāya but are simply associated with us. Before a therapist is added to our roster, we do an intensive verification to ensure that we only recommend credible and qualified therapists to our clients.
Our process of recommending therapists is designed in a way to reduce any work required at your end to find the right therapist. For every client, we go through our roster of hundreds of therapists and find a suitable match. So instead of sharing the whole roster with our clients, we provide 3-4 therapist recommendations from which the client can choose one.
A Pre-Therapy Consultation is a one-on-one session with a Counselling Psychologist and lasts about 30-35 minutes long. The consultation session helps you talk about your concern and find the next steps in your mental health journey and resolve any doubts. If it is your first time going to therapy, a pre-therapy consultation is highly recommended to help you set expectations and goals.
While we do not conduct diagnoses in-house at Nāya, we are affiliated with Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrists who conduct diagnoses. You can reach out to us if you are looking for a diagnostician and we will connect you with the right one.
To make the process as smooth and easy as possible, Nāya is not involved in any communication between the therapist and client post the recommendations. Once they have been recommended, the therapists operate independently of Nāya. Any scheduling, logistics, fees, feedback, etc must be communicated with the therapist themself.
However, do feel free to reach out to us if you face a hurdle at any point. Our only aim is to make your mental health journey smooth and relaxed!
If you are under the age of 16 and wish to get therapy, you must obtain consent from your parents. The therapist will typically send across a form or email asking for written consent from your parent. However, other than obtaining consent, all of therapy is confidential between the therapist and the client themself. If confidentiality needs to be broken, the therapist must first obtain consent from the client.
At Nāya, our aim is to make therapy easily accessible and affordable for everyone. Keeping that in mind, we charge minimally for all our services. We even make sure that the therapists we recommend to you fall well within your budget range.
